What does it truly mean to be alive? Not just breathing, not just thinking, but fully, deeply, abundantly alive in the way God originally intended? That is the question at the heart of this message, and the answer takes us all the way back to the garden. Drawing from John 10:10, where Jesus declares that he came so that we might have life and have it more abundantly, we are invited to examine the difference between merely existing and truly living. The message unpacks the Greek word 'zoe,' the kind of life Jesus promises, which is not about better biology or sharper intellect, but about a restored, unbroken relationship with the Father. We explore how that original design, seen in Genesis 2:7 where God breathed life into man and man became a living being, was fractured not by punishment but by shame. Adam and Eve did not run because God chased them away. They hid. And so do we. The most compelling thread running through this message is the idea that shame, not pride or rebellion alone, is what keeps us from the life God offers. Shame whispers that we are something wrong, not just that we have done something wrong. And yet God's first response to a hiding humanity was not condemnation but a question: Where are you? That question still echoes today, and this message reminds us that God has never stopped asking it.
